Ever wonder what we mean by 'tinctures' when used as an ingredient in a natural perfume? Here's your chance to sniff some of the tinctures we use in our fragrances. Our tinctures are made by hand using wildcrafted ingredients or from plants grown in our organic garden, macerated and preserved in organic cane alcohol. These tinctures are for use in your own perfumery or to experience new, enchanting botanical aromas. These tinctures are not meant for ingestion or use in cooking/medicine.

For use in your own perfumery, use a few drops in your formula and conduct a patch test on the skin. Some tinctures are more concentrated than others and since they are made from wild plants that contain naturally-occurring chemicals, it is possible to have an allergic reaction. Tinctures aren't as concentrated as essential oils and will not alter a perfume formula too noticeably. Tinctures only add small yet interesting nuances and subtle accents.
